My 1st Debut to Social Media : FRIENDSTER

Welcome BACK to my blogger PAGE! How are you today/tonight? Hope everything is alright and well. Today I will share my story on how I first discovered the world of technology in terms of social media and how I can't get away from it. LET'S BEGIN!

THE STORY: I honestly don't know that technology have social media before, I mean I was just an elementary student who doesn't have any cellphone, desktop, laptop or any gaming consoles that was now very well developed. Since I often play outside with the neighbors and do lots of self roleplaying. Basically I can enjoy my own company and have my own activity.

But back then, I often hear the word FRIENDSTER but I had no slightest idea what it was, I didn't know that it was one of the 1st Social Media that become frenzy WORLDWIDE!? Imagine how my whole classmates going crazy and hustling to go home just to open their Friendster account or just to create an account.

Before I thought it was just a new game that was being launched not until one of my classmate opens a Friendster account during our IT class, since our teacher is asking us to demonstrate on how to properly open a DESKTOP COMPUTER. 

That's when I found out that Friendster is about ADDING people you KNOW and you DIDN'T KNOW, they will be posting pictures and video's, with lots of interactions since you would comment here and there and EVERYONE are aiming for the BEST THEME of their Friendster account.

If you have the fanciest and coolest effects with your mouse and background music in your Friendster, You'd be considered the cool and awesome kid that is also TECH SAVVY. Please do remember that at that time no one know how coding in HTML actually works unless you have friends that are programmers. Until some time later on there is a lot of free templates going around for Friendster that you can use.

I'm one of the kids who relied on free templates available and grab the very cute designs and I did used Friendster until 1st year in High School since FACEBOOK is becoming the new trend. And I did shift to Facebook. * I really missed the old version of Facebook since FARMVILLE existed there*

And that's how I become a part of the SOCIAL MEDIA FRENZY, seriously its was so fun, full of curiosity, and just being blown away. And I have to say, up to this date I have tons of social media accounts and I don't even get myself WHY AM I do SIGN UP, crazy right?!

When Friendster decided to stop operating, I have to be honest, I had mixed reaction, well at first I thought that their gonna do something new that they will make us "WOW!" once more, but at the same time I think that they won't. *The gut feeling is strong so...* 

All in all, my experience using Friendster is FUN and it will remain MEMORABLE, maybe one day I can BRAG about it to my future children *with matching eye roll*  saying I was there when all that starts to exists. * evil laughs *
