GOT FULLY VACCINATED

Sharing my experience and the process of how I got vaccinated and why did I choose to be vaccinated and I would like to put a disclaimer: This is all base from my experience and my opinion.

Back in 2020 I never realized how serious Covid-19, I thought that it would be just a phase for month but surprise surprise! I was so wrong! and now look, it took 1 year and still counting in months how Covid-19 is not over.
I've seen some countries decided to start opening up again and start the whole crowd gathering which I was so jealous cause who's not? since here in my country were still under restrictions and quarantines. Vaccination facilities started only this early months of 2021 but only those who were classified as Front liners or anyone in the medical field.
It was recently open to the public mid of the months of 2021, At first my family was reluctant from getting the vaccine, since our government decided to relay on donations from other countries and from the COVAX facility of WHO.
And as far as I know the vaccines are limited at some point since the production is not that fast and the priorities of these pharmaceutical companies are those who paid which is understandable at some point.
Anyway, Why we are so reluctant on getting the vaccine?
We are reluctant because we didn't know the side effects, wrong information was being spread from all over social media platforms, pharmaceutical companies barely gave out any info about the vaccine their so lip tight about the findings.
That's the reason why we are so reluctant at first, but then again Covid-19 decided to evolved in short amount of time literally lots of variants starts coming out and that was such a bad news. Until my older sister talk to us and open up the idea of getting vaccinated.
We decided to do our research on which vaccine is the best option and what vaccines are available in our country and at the same time we plan out and give out our opinion to our parent's on why we decided to get vaccinated.
At first our dad was not really into getting the vaccine, but we told him the research of WHO about each vaccines and all of them have side effects and it's better for him to get one since he is going to be a senior citizen this year.
And after some days he agreed that we all get the vaccine, that when my sister waited for the Barangay Captain to announce when will be the next batch to open for listing names for the available vaccines. That's when we registered online by giving our details and then we received a message containing our vaccination date along with the location on where the vaccination facility will be.

We were schedule last August for our 1st dose of the vaccine and September for our 2nd dose which was the last dose, there was a long line and there where some few steps to follow, we got interviewed by doctors and then we were instructed to go at the actual vaccination area.
Once you get vaccinated they will let you stay in the 10 minutes observation area, if you show no side effects at the moment you are free to go home but you will still have a week observation at home by only eating healthy foods and avoid drinking alcoholic beverages.
That easy right!
In the first dose our observation; we notice we tend to crave more food than usual and of course the vaccinated arm was still achy lasted for 3 days and nothing more while in the second dose our observation; we did get the usual side effects which is a migraine and slight fever and were still trying to see since we only recently got the second dose last Friday.
What are my thoughts?
First of all I feel thankful since at this point no one in my family got Covid-19 before or after we got vaccinated, I do feel accomplished and safe. I do wish that at one point we will start going back to our old ways on socializing and no more virus would pop up.
